Judson has tentatively suggested Crispin van de Passe; Oberhuber feels the sheet is German. There are resemblances to the style of Nicolas Knupfer (cf. J. I. Kuznetzow, "Nikolaus Knupfer [1603?-1655]," Oud Holland, vol. 88, no. 3 [1974], p. 216, fig. 35).
