This summer I had the wonderful opportunity to intern at Expanding Sky Studios which is a state-of-the-art recording studio located in Brunswick Maine. There mission is to bring meaningful, inspiring music to the world, regardless of genre and commercial intent. During my time with at Expanding Sky Studios, I’ve worked on projects with a wide range of musical and voice-over artists. My main project this summer was dedicated to working on two original songs under the supervision of the staff in studio.​

​It was a great experience to be able to see what life is like as a dedicated producer as well as learning the ins and outs of recording. I’ve learned a lot about songwriting as well as how to get the sound I want. One of my favorite parts of this summer was when we were messing with my song and accidentally muted the instruments (and it sounded so cool). Overall, I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn from Expanding Sky Studios as well as CXD’s Funded Internship Program.
