Generative AI refers to a subfield of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) that can generate new content, such as text, images, music, and video, based on patterns learned from large datasets.
These advances are already changing how we interface with computers. They have the potential to reshape how we access, understand, and produce knowledge and information.
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ staff, faculty, and students are exploring how AI and ML can enhance and support the College's liberal arts mission. While ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ scholars are open to using AI in their classes and research, they are also examining its potential for harm and finding ways to ensure the breakthrough technology promotes the common good.
AI is spurring new creations, collaborations, and discoveries across the College. This site will serve as a campus hub for all ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ AI-related news, events, guidelines, concerns, and ideas for possible applications.
