Jack Bateman (Biology) was awarded a grant from the National Institutes of Health for his project titled Know Your Neighbors: Investigating the Influence of Gene Co-localization on Transcriptional Dynamics.

Thomas Baumgarte (Physics and Astronomy) was awarded a grant from the National Science Foundation for his project titled Studies in Numerical Relativity (NSF Award No. 2010394).

Margaret Boyle (Romance Languages and Literatures) was awarded The M. C. Lang Fellowship in Book History, Bibliography, and Humanities Teaching with Historical Sources through the University of Virginia’s Rare Book School.

Patsy Dickinson (Biology/Neuroscience) and her collaborator from the University of Hawaii were awarded a grant from the National Science Foundation for their project titled Diversity of Modulation and Functional Flexibility in Small Neuronal Networks: an Evolutionary and Mechanistic Approach (NSF Award No. 1856433).

Michael Franz (Government and Legal Studies) and his collaborator from Wesleyan University were awarded a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation for their project titled Wesleyan Media Project 2020.

David Gordon (History) was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship for his project titled Cultural Heroes, Political Movements, and Art in Nineteenth Century Central Africa.

Mohammad Irfan (Digital and Computational Studies/Computer Science) was awarded a grant from the National Science Foundation for his project titled Influence Games: a Game-Theoretic Approach to Strategic Behavior in Networks (NSF Award No. 1910203). 

Eileen Johnson (Environmental Studies) and her collaborators from Maine Sea Grant, Maine DEP, University of Maine, and University of Maine Machias were awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of the Interior through the University of Maine Mitchell Sustainability Program for their project Collaborating Towards Climate Solutions; and a second project in collaboration with The Nature Conservancy, Casco Bay Estuary Project, Maine Sea Grant, Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve, Kennebec Estuary Project, and the Town of Phippsburg were awarded a grant from the NOAA through the Maine Coastal Communities and from the Maine Sea Grant Program for their project Linking Ecological and Social Resilience in Coastal Communities.

Barry Logan (Biology) and his collaborators from the California Institute of Technology, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and the University of Utah were awarded a grant from the National Science Foundation for their project titled Seasonality of Photosynthesis of Temperate and Boreal Conifer Forests Across North America (NSF Award No. 1925992).

Tracy McMullen (Music) was awarded a Frederick Burkhardt Fellowship from the American Council of Learned Societies for her project Jazz Humanism: Responsibility and Blur in the New Human.

Emily Peterman (Earth and Oceanographic Science) was awarded a conference grant from the National Science Foundation for the 6th Biennial Structural Geology and Tectonics Forum to be held at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ in June 2020 (NSF Award No. 2001169).

Collin Roesler (Earth and Oceanographic Science) with her collaborators from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution were awarded a grant from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration for their project titled An Adaptive Observing Network for Real-Time, in Situ HAB Monitoring and Data Sharing Across New England.
