Arielle Saiber's 2017 Book Wins Bridge Award

Measured Words: Computation and Writing in Renaissance Italy wins American non-fiction prize at prestigious ‘Bridge’ book awards, celebrating links between Italian and American culture.

Professor of Romance Languages and Literatures Arielle Saiber says she’s “thrilled and hugely honored” to win a prestigious award for her latest book, (University of Toronto Press, 2017).

arielle saiber headshotSaiber is receiving “The Bridge” book award, so called because it’s meant as a bridge connecting Italian and American cultures. Her book, which analyzes the work of four Renaissance writer-scholars, garnered first prize in the American nonfiction category.

Saiber is being flown to Rome next month to accept the prize, which includes free translation costs so the book can also be published in Italian. Read more about Measured Words.
