Students Relish Dining's Famous Thanksgiving Event

Dining did it yet again!

The cheese sculpture
The evening had lots of artful details, like this cheese sculpture.

On the Thursday before the actual turkey day, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ Dining staff cooked its traditional Thanksgiving meal for about 1,800 students (plus a few others in the know). Students formed a long line outside Thorne well before its 4:45 p.m. opening in anticipation of the feast that lay ahead.

The offerings, which included pumpkin goddess dressing, three types of homemade bread (four if you count the vegan cornbread), four varieties of pie, and a spread with fruit, dips, crudités, and a block of cheese with a turkey carved into it, managed to lure a few employees and nearby Brunswick residents, as well. (Those without a ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ ID pay $18 for the meal).

In Moulton, which also serves a lavish Thanksgiving repast, the staff added an extra touch by putting out a bottle of sparkling cider, wine glasses, and decoratively folded cloth napkins at every table.
