After ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾
No matter what you choose to do next, you have all of us behind you.
The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ network includes thousands of alumni around the world, working and leading in every profession. But it also includes hundreds of people on campus who will help you prepare for and take that next step. It includes the parents and children of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ grads, who will share their stories and open their homes.
A ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ education, grounded in the liberal arts and honed by the high standards of world-class faculty, teaches you not just the “how,” and the “when” of a discipline, but the “why.” ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ graduates gain knowledge and skills that are grounded in context—which makes them valuable leaders in every field from engineering to education, from finance to medicine.
The work of the world—from Silicon Valley to Capitol Hill—is done in teams. Our collaborative campus environment means that we're all working together, and not competing against each other—so students leave ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ eager to listen and ready to contribute.
Career Exploration and Development (CXD)
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ Career Exploration and Development (CXD) encourages students to begin the career exploration process as early as the first year, with a focus on engagement by the end of the sophomore year. Our team of career advisors leverage their own professional experiences as they assist students to explore their skills, values, and interests; gain experience via networking, interviewing, and summer internships; and pursue full-time employment or graduate study in a chosen field. A robust network of online services complement our personal one-on-one advising approach.
Health Professions Advising
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ College offers an excellent academic preparation for a career in the health professions, and each student receives assistance in selecting an appropriate path through the curriculum. The Office of Health Professions Advising helps undergraduates and alumni investigate their options in health care and guides and supports candidates through the application process to graduate professional programs.
Fellowships and Research Advising
The Office of Student Fellowships and Research is an essential resource for students interested in pursuing research during their undergraduate years or seeking information about nationally competitive fellowships such as Fulbright, Marshall, and Rhodes.
Regional Groups
Currently, there are regional groups in locations as close to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ as Bath-Brunswick and as distant as Hong Kong, serving alumni, parents, current students, and widows/widowers of alumni. These groups exist to provide avenues for Polar Bears to remain close to the College and to one another through social, cultural, athletic, educational, and volunteer programs.
Student Aid Support
The Office of Student Aid provides support and resources to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ graduates who are navigating post-college life and finances, including graduate and medical school scholarships, resources for refinancing, and tax credit programs.
