About
James ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ III: Pursuing Style in the Age of Independence pays homage to benefactor James ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ III with an installation of compelling art and objects owned (and donated) by the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ family. This exhibition reimagines the interior of James ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ III’s study, and includes objects as diverse as an eighteenth-century air pump, a suit worn by James ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ III himself, an impressive selection of books from James ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ III’s noted library, and a number of paintings from the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ bequest. This is the second reinterpretation of the American collection funded by the Luce Foundation.
