About
This exhibition features highlights of an incredible gift of prints, recently given to the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ College Museum of Art from long-time friend and generous donor Charles Pendexter, current resident of Brunswick, Maine.
The first in a planned series of exhibitions from the gift, this inaugural selection of a few highlights from the collection only "scratches the surface" of a rich resource. The works on view range in date from Albrecht Dürer's St. Jerome in Penitence of the late fifteenth century to Giorgio Morandi's poetic Still Life with Five Objects of the mid-twentieth. It includes iconic images of war, muscular examples of Dutch mannerist printmaking, and pastoral views of the English countryside.
