About
This exhibition of 28 watercolors delighted with lighthearted interpretations of the natural world through the immediacy of water-based paintings on paper. Included were four rarely seen works by Winslow Homer as well as the artist's watercolor box. Important and compelling works by John Ruskin, John La Farge, Paul Klee, Eva Hesse, and many others were featured as well. The ϳԹվ College Museum of Art has been collecting watercolors for more than a century and is able to present paintings in this fleeting medium in remarkable scope. Due to their light sensitivity, ϳԹվ's watercolors are on view only very infrequently and have not been shown in this breadth.
