This installation explores how nineteenth-century artists recorded the visible world and transformed it into visions of the idyllic and ideal. On view alongside works from ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾’s permanent collection are atmospheric paintings by Sanford Gifford, Francis Silva, and John Singer Sargent from distinguished private collections and from Colgate University.
