Resources and Opportunities
Kinolab is a repository for moving images created by cinema studies faculty and students and is available to the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ campus community. Kinolab is primarily intended to serve as a resource for cinema students and faculty seeking curated examples of film’s formal elements.
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ has several rooms available for screening movies. In Hawthorne-Longfellow Library, students and faculty can book the Seminar Room or the Small Screening Room. The Seminar Room is an eighteen-seat screening room featuring an 85-inch cinema-quality screen and sound system. The Small Screening Room is equipped with a 46-inch flat screen and Mac Mini.
Hawthorne-Longfellow Library has two studios that ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ students can gain access to. Studio A is a recording studio that includes sound equipment, video and sound editing software, and a sound-proof room. Studio B is a filming studio that contains a green screen, microphones, and lighting equipment. The Media Commons lends out camera kits and tripods.
