The in-class experience of tutors is very varied depending upon the needs of teachers and students. Some things tutors have done:

• Conducted a weekly reading group for 4th graders
• Delivered a lesson on the Hardy-Weinberg Principle
• Supported students who were conducting research projects for the first time
• Graded homework assignments and exams
• Administered math games to small groups of students
• Assisted students in organizing their writing
• Assisted with classroom behavior management
• Facilitated discussions within literature circles
• Read aloud side-by-side with young readers to improve phonics and fluency
• Guided students through reading comprehension and timed math facts worksheets
