There are a few steps to completing an application for Upward Bound. Online application materials are accessible by clicking the hyperlinks at the bottom of this page. While we will consider applications on an ongoing basis, priority will be given to application materials received by December 1, 2024.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Student Application. The 2024-25 Application is open until spots are filled!
Beyond some basic info, we ask you to tell us about your interest in UB and how we could help you on your path to college. Applying online is preferred but not required. If you need a paper application, you can request one by emailing Keith Reinemann at kreinema@bowdoin.edu.
Eligibility Form.
Completed by your parent or guardian, this is a required form to determine eligibility for the program.
Guidance Recommendation & HS Transcript
Input from your school counselor, along with your high school transcript helps us get to know who you are as a student and person.
Teacher Recommendation
Input from a core academic teacher who knows you pretty well helps us understand your strengths and potential for success in a college prep program.
Meet your UB Advisor.
Attend a brief info session with the UB counselor who will work with you. Ask any questions and get acquainted! This will be scheduled with you when your application, eligibility form, and recommendations have been received.
