Campus Construction

The Capital Renewal and Major Maintenance staff coordinate, manage and implement projects from new construction to major renovations.

The Capital Renewal staff coordinate and manage projects involving major renovations and/or new construction of campus buildings from concept to final occupancy. The Capital Renewal Management team is also responsible for facilities operations of the Schiller Coastal Studies Center in Harpswell, Maine and the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ Scientific Station in N.B., Canada.  Click here to see a list of current capital renewal projects.

The Major Maintenance staff coordinate and implement major maintenance and renovation projects. Through campus-wide collaboration, they develop a long term asset preservation database that advocates to improve each facility’s needs, functionality, and appearance. Major Maintenance is also responsible for the College’s record drawings and building files.

The College incorporates sustainability features into each of the construction projects. These standards include recycling waste and purchasing energy efficient lighting and products. Applying criteria from the U. S. Green Building Council and campus renovation standards, the College strives to make the buildings energy efficient and environmentally sound.
