Be an active bystander. Confront your peers when they say or do things that are offensive or abusive toward others. Take appropriate and safe action if you witness someone being pressured, harassed, or assaulted.

Become a member of one or more of the student-led organizations on campus working to end sexual and relationship violence:

 (BHeRe) BHeRe is a programming group focused on gender violence prevention and education. We want to normalize conversations on campus around relationships (with self and others), dating, sex, sexuality, and more. The ultimate goal is that every ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ student will not only recognize healthy relationships but will incorporate that understanding into their daily lives and enact it.

(BMASV) BMASV's aim is to educate the campus community about their role in sexual violence prevention through discussions on language use, intervention, and masculinity.

is dedicated to creating spaces on campus for women to discuss the intersections of gender norms around femininity and gender violence. It aims to start dialogue at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ around womanhood and to give a voice to women's experiences on campus with an emphasis on providing a safe space for women to share stories of gender-based violence. Its work supports the constant evolution of "RISE: Untold Stories of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ Women," an annual production featuring ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ women telling stories written by ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ women, and sparks important discussion on campus.

Community agencies like (SASSMM) and could use your help. Consider volunteering to help with efforts to end sexual and relationship violence. 

Work with us in the Office of Gender Violence Prevention and Health Education! Each year, we hire programming assistants and peer educators.
