ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ College has been an active member of the (CFD) since 1987 and administers an annual process for the appointment of a few postdoctoral fellows each academic year.

The CFD Postdoctoral Fellowship at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾

The postdoctoral fellowship is intended for scholars who have been awarded the Ph.D. or M.F.A. no later than the beginning of the fellowship year and no earlier than five years before the beginning of the fellowship year. Postdoctoral fellows will receive compensation commensurate with the salary of a full-time, one-year faculty member with comparable qualifications.

Modest funds will be made available to support professional expenses related to research and travel during the time of appointment.

Postdoctoral fellowship recipients will be expected to teach the equivalent of one semester-long course during each semester of residency, participate in departmental seminars, and interact regularly with students.

Members of the Fellow's department or program, other colleagues with similar interests, the Center for Learning and Teaching, and the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs will provide mentoring.

Academic Affairs offers faculty on tenure track search committees a series of workshops in support of faculty diversity and inclusion. Information and materials are posted to the Canvas organization "Diversity and Inclusion in Faculty Hiring and Mentoring" and accessible to current search committee members.

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ College has an institutional membership with the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD) that allows faculty and staff access to on-line resources and workshops at no additional cost. The Office of the Dean for Academic Affairs supports several faculty each year in NCFDD's Faculty Success Program.

The Baldwin Center for Learning and Teaching Faculty Fellows Program is a year-long initiative to immerse faculty in reflective practice on teaching and learning to enhance diverse and inclusive learning environments for students.
