Scholarly and Artistic Work
The Office of the Dean for Academic Affairs serves as a gateway for faculty seeking support for this form of professional engagement. Academic affairs staff provide a resource for suggestions regarding funding sources, both internal and external to the College.
In addition, the Faculty Development Committee (FDC) oversees the awarding of internal college grants for research, teaching, and sabbatic leave.
Faculty with start-ups, endowed chair discretionary funds, or research and professional development funds may draw on them to support their scholarship, creative work, pedagogy, and professional development. Please see the Guidelines for Discretionary Faculty Funding for information and resources.
The quality of the College's curriculum and the excellence of its academic program is directly related to the support the College provides for faculty and academic staff to pursue scholarly and artistic projects.
