Teaching

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ Faculty educate and inspire our students, instilling in them the love, the ways, and the habits of liberal arts learning.

Through a range of academic disciplines and interdisciplinary pursuits, faculty design curricula that respond to and help shape changes in their fields, teach students to develop breadth and depth in their scholarly and artistic explorations, foster guided and independent thinking that deepens intellectual growth, and advance our collective commitment to the Common Good. Faculty realize inclusive excellence in these classroom practices by creating engaging and equitable learning environments that enhance belonging and prepare students for a world of abundant difference.

Working in partnership with the faculty, with staff in affiliated offices, and with individual departments and programs, the Office of the Dean for Academic Affairs supports teaching practices at the College. If you as a faculty member are wondering about anything teaching-related, from proposing new courses to navigating the academic calendar, or from how to administer final exams to how to design faculty-led travel, please explore the links below.
