Academic Coaching
What is Academic Coaching?
Academic coaching is a one-on-one interactive process between a student and a coach. This working partnership focuses on learning skills and accessing resources, tailored to the student, to promote student success in college and beyond. Academic coaches ask questions to examine learning preferences, work habits, and needs, and they co- create a personalized action plan to overcome challenges and create a foundation for college success. Throughout this process, students learn to identify resources and practice strategies that work best for them. The ambition of Academic Coaching is to increase awareness of what it takes to stay on track academically and to anchor this awareness with new strategies, a supportive relationship, and personal accountability.
Academic Coaching Sessions
Available throughout the semester. Students are welcome to one-time, weekly, and monthly visits.
