Cigna Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), the College provides free, confidential counseling services to all benefits-eligible employees and members of their immediate families.

These services include problem assessment, in person and virtual counseling (up to 8 sessions per issue fully paid by the College). You do not need to be enrolled on Cigna's health plan to avail yourself of these services.

EAP counselors are trained to deal with a wide range of psychological, interpersonal, marital, and family issues, and are prepared to make appropriate referrals for difficulties related to health, financies, or legal issues. EAP counselors are also trained in helping employees resolve on-the-job conflicts. Whatever the specific problem, most individuals who utilize EAP services find significant emotional relief and practical benefit in having a supportive, objective listener to use as a sounding board. EAP counselors maintain strict confidentiality to the extent provided by law.

Employees may seek assistance or schedule an appointment for themselves or a family member 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year, by contacting Cigna EAP at 1-877-622-4327 or log in to (login company code: bowdoineap).

Once registered on myCigna.com, simply log in and go to the EAP link under the Review My Coverage tab.
