Kent Island

The original orientation trip is back!

This August, two groups will head up to the remote ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ Scientific Station on Kent Island in New Brunswick, Canada, several miles off the mainland in the Bay of Fundy. While it takes a long time to travel to the island via car, ferry, and lobster boat, the trip is well worth it! While on this trip, students will explore the spectacular intertidal zones, fields, and forests. Students will spend time birding, creating artwork, contributing to the research station with a service project like a beach clean up, and enjoy each other’s company as they cook together in a communal kitchen. Students who have been to Kent Island report that it is a tremendously special place and an amazing opportunity to visit – definitely something to put on your ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø±¬ÍøÕ¾ bucket list! Students on this trip will stay in the research station bunk house.

Students participating in this trip must have a valid US Passport or Visa to enter Canada.
