Western Foothills Community
Explore the rolling hills of western Maine while learning about rural living, food security, and the history of the region.
Trip participants will harvest and distribute vegetables with community gardens like Gardeners Growing Healthy Communities and the Allan Day Community Garden and will learn from and assist a local historical society. Recreational activities will include exploring a land trust and having a meal and lesson with a local ukulele group. Note: Students will be sleeping indoors and have access to showers.
